SSCI 3045U – Terrorism This course will explore theoretical and practical issues related to understanding terrorism and the state and public responses to it. It will review theoretical and methodological issues in the study of terrorism, as well as the social, political and economic roots of terrorism. The course will conclude with examination of strategies used in the control of terrorist activities and the implications these have for public safety and for human rights.
