SSCI 2031U – Alternative Methods in Justice This course will introduce students to methods of intervention applied in the justice field. It will use methods of problem solving to identify the appropriate intervention to solve the problem. Methods of intervention covered will include negotiation, mediation, arbitration, debriefing, crisis/conflict management and group process facilitation. Simulations and activities are included. Students will be expected to demonstrate an advanced level of understanding based on their previous course work of concept justice as it is found in common law systems, civic law systems and socialist systems.
