SSCI 1200U – Introduction to Social Policy This is a core course in social policy analysis, in which students will explore a variety of social policy issues. They will trace the historical evolution and contemporary contours of public and private sector policies in Canada. The social structural contexts shaping the development of social policy in modern Canadian society will be a focus. The role of social science data and research in the formation of private and public sector policies will be discussed. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3
