MATH 1880U – Mathematical Modelling for Health Science This course enables the student to gain an understanding of the use of mathematical modelling as a tool in the health sciences, and to be able to carry out such modelling at an elementary level. This will enable the student to better understand current and future developments in medical practice that rebased upon the use of mathematical models. Topics and their applications will include: functions and graphs, sequences and series, difference equations, differentiation and integration. Credit hours: 3 Lecture hours: 3 Tutorial hours: 1.5 Credit restriction(s): MATH 1000U , MATH 1010U Note(s): Not for credit in a Science or Engineering program.
