HLSC 4994U – Research Applications for Kinesiology The purpose of this research course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and tools to understand the research process, to critically appraise research studies, to highlight gaps in existing literature, and to make informed decisions based on existing evidence in the types of studies relevant to kinesiology. The course will focus on the research designs, how to set up research studies to answer specific research questions, how to conduct comprehensive literature reviews, and how to use this information.
