SSCI 2910U – Data Analysis This course offers an introduction to descriptive and inference based statistical data analysis techniques commonly used in the social sciences and humanities. Topics to be included are: frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, cross-tabulations, independent sample t-tests, ANOVA, correlation and regression, and elementary sampling theory. The application of statistical methods will be examined in depth with examples. Activities in this course are designed to build on those in the Research Methods course.
