BUSI 3150U – Financial Statement Analysis The purpose of this course is to develop knowledge and experience in using and interpreting financial statement data to make informed decisions as external financial statement users. In the course a general approach to examining financial statements will be developed and this approach will be applied to four common financial statement uses: evaluating the performance of managers; evaluating risk including the likelihood of financial distress; forecasting financial statement figures; equity valuation using various evaluation techniques and assumptions.
