NURS 5118G - Applied Biostatistics for Nursing and Health Sciences Students will acquire the necessary skills to plan, conduct and critically appraise the statistical analysis of health-related research projects. Specifically, the course will emphasize the interrelation between the research question, study design and analysis of projects. Learning methods include classroom lectures and tutorials. Real-life research projects will be used to illustrate the common biostatistical methods used in health sciences. The topics covered in the course include: analysis of variance, regression, and correlation nonparametric statistics, and special topics such as analysis of covariance.
