ENGR 5181G - Advanced Radiation Engineering

This course introduces advanced concepts in radiation engineering, with an emphasis on how ionizing radiation interactions with matter may be modelled. The course reviews fundamental particle interaction mechanics, measurement and detection of radiation, evaluation of nuclear cross sections and various solutions to the Boltzmann transport equation. This course presumes a knowledge of nuclear physics, differential equations and statistics.
