ENGR 5180G - Advanced Nuclear Engineering

The course is an introduction to advanced topics in nuclear engineering, with emphasis on reactor physics. Covered topics include neutron slowing down, resonance absorption, multigroup transport and diffusion equations, reactor kinetics and homogenization methods. Lattice and full-core numerical methods are also covered. This course presumes a knowledge of nuclear physics, differential equations and vector calculus.
