BUSI 1500U – Business Communications and Computing Skills This experiential course develops students’ proficiency at communicating via interpersonal (one-on-one and small group), electronic and written means and develops computing application skills. Topics include: components of effective business communication (audience, content and delivery); interpersonal skills and the art of effective persuasion; computer literacy and electronic forms of communication; computing applications; the toolbox of effective business writing vocabulary, spelling, grammar, style, punctuation, organization; business writing, planning, researching, reading/thinking, outlining, organizing, writing, rewriting, citing sources, editing, presenting, memos and reports, and special situations job search and interviews.
